Rich Flynn “The Painter of the Moment” began his devotion to art in 1984 by traveling into the high country outside of Malaga, Spain to study with renowned artist and teacher Jack Rutherford. Drawing, painting, sculpting, print-making, art history, theory, and philosophy. Went into this intensely full year of study back in the states, the practice began. There at the Cafe TuTu Tango in Orange, CA, he developed the style of painting in the moment. From 1998-2012, he painted life of the restaurant. In 2001, he was asked to paint a wedding live as it happens. This was an instant hit and by word-of-mouth, he has painted countless weddings, events, birthday parties, bat mitzvahs, fundraisers, and many other very special events. His paintings hang in the homes of some of this nations’ most talented and celebrated families.
